Join Us as a Volunteer at Newfield Elementary's Media Center!
Are you looking for a rewarding way to support young learners?
We invite you to become a volunteer in the Media Center at Newfield Elementary School!
Our Media Center is a vibrant space where students explore new books, develop research skills, and engage with digital tools. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping maintain the library, assist with student activities, and foster a love for reading. Whether you have twenty minutes or more to spare or want to make a regular commitment, your support can make a big difference in the lives of our students.
Third grade has the highest need for volunteers. They have book checkout from 1-1:20 daily.
Come be a part of our school community and help inspire a generation of lifelong learners!
If you're interested, please contact us today to learn more about volunteer opportunities.
Hello Newfield Community,
On behalf of the Newfield PFO, we want to THANK YOU for all we’ve been able to achieve in the first half of our school year! We kicked things off by meeting our new families at the kindergarten playdate, then gathered as a community at our Welcome Back Picnic. We went strong into October with our first annual Fun Run Fundraiser where we raised over $20,000 for field trip transportation, educational programs, Nature’s Classroom, school supplies, field day and more! October ended with an incredible Halloween Bash then November included a great time at our Turkey Bingo Fundraiser. We wrapped December with our first annual Winter Wonderland event complete with a clothing drive for Clothes to Kids of Fairfield County & next week, please enjoy our free book giveaway (RANIF) because Reading at Newfield is Fun!
YOU are the reason we are one at Newfield and we are looking forward to our 2025 events, including our Valentines Carnation Sale, Earth Day clean-up, Staff Appreciation Week, Mothers Day Plant Sale, BOGO Book Fair, Field Day, 5th grade dance + moving up ceremony and MORE! Thank you all!
Best,
The Newfield PFO
